With great anticipation and confidence, we would like to present our TSM Deluxe Cabbage Shredder. Just like other TSM products, this shredder is not only made from high quality stainless steel but it will literally cut the work time in half. You can shred a dozen heads of cabbage in under 10 minutes.
We thoroughly tested our shredder to ensure its effectiveness. The three dynamic curving cutting blades, made from 14 gauge stainless steel, are specially made for this shredder. They are adjustable to any thickness up to 1/4". Hands-down the best engineered cabbage shredder on the market. Simply lift the vertical lever, place the prepared cabbage into the hopper, close the lever and turn the side crank handle. The shredded cabbage falls into a tossing cylinder and then is collected into a food lug. User Manual
Introduction:
1. Please read and follow all instructions prior to using the TSM Deluxe Cabbage Shredder. Contact the manufacturer if there are any problems with this product.
2. Always use caution when operating and cleaning. The blades that are installed in the cylinder are very sharp.
3. Set up and store the cabbage shredder out of reach of children.
4. Never leave the cabbage shredder unattended around children.
5. The TSM Deluxe Cabbage Shredder is intended to shred cabbage and soft vegetables only. No claims under the guarantee or liability for damages will be accepted if they result from improper or incorrect use.
6. Always place the TSM Deluxe Cabbage Shredder on a flat suitable table or secure on a strong flat surface when operating.
Cleaning:
Clean prior to using.
1. Open the latch (Part #5) and open the top half (Part #1)
2. Carefully remove the shredder cylinder (Part #2) by pulling upward. KEEP HANDS OUT OF CYLINDER when removing, cleaning and installing. Wash the cylinder using hot water and a mild dishwashing detergent, rinse and then dry.
3. Wipe down the main housing (Parts #1 and #6) using a damp cloth, rinse and dry.
Assembly:
1. Install the cabbage plunger (Part #4) onto the cabbage shredder housing studs(Part #9).
2. Install 4 locknuts onto each stud (supplied with your cabbage shredder) to secure the plunger assembly. Once assembly is secured, tighten the locknuts.
3. Be sure that the cylinder is properly installed by consulting provided diagrams.
4. Install the handle assembly (Part #10) onto the cabbage shredder cylinder.
5. Close the cabbage shredder housing by using the latch (Part #5).
6. Keeping hands and body parts clear of the cylinder, SLOWLY rotate the handle assembly (Part #10) and check that the cylinder and rotating parts operate smoothly.
Operating Instructions:
1. Operate only after you have read all cleaning, safety and assembly instructions.
2. Place the TSM Deluxe Cabbage Shredder on a strong, suitable surface. You may want to secure it to the surface using c-type clamps, not supplied.
3. Place a suitable container on the output side of the cylinder of the TSM Deluxe Cabbage Shredder to catch the shredded cabbage.
4. Lift the plunger assembly handle and place cabbage into the top of the cabbage housing. Lower plunger assembly, rotate handle assembly and apply firm pressure to the plunger assembly handle. NOTE: The shredded cabbage will begin to come out of the cylinder. You may need to quarter the cabbage or apply less pressure if you are having trouble rotating the handle. Always use caution when removing shredded cabbage from the cylinder as the blades are very sharp.
Blade Adjustment:
NOTE: The blades on the TSM Deluxe Cabbage Shredder have been set at our factory to thinly slice the cabbage. However, you can simply adjust them to make a thicker shred.
USE CAUTION WHEN MAKING ADJUSTMENTS ON BLADES
1. With the clyinder removed, loosen the inside screws. Then turn the lock nuts closer to the heads of the screws. Make this adjustment on all three blades. You may need to loosen (DO NOT REMOVE) the top screw from the cylinder.
2. To clean or sharpen the blades, remove the them by removing the screws and removing them from the retainers (Part #11).
3. Reinstall the blades using Step 1.
