Mitoku Wakame Root, known as Mekabu, is the flowering sprout of the wakame plant and has a strong, sweet, and creamy taste. Highly revered for its nourishing properties since it contains more minerals than the blade. It is customarily drank as a medicinal tea. It is also delicious as a wholesome snack. Use it like nori, as a wrapping for rice balls and nori-maki sushi. Add it to soups, to impart flavor and a thicker texture. Tororo kombu is razor-thin, finely shaved and lightly vinegared premium kombu. An excellent specialty seaweed.
