Minimum Order Fee
There is a $14.95 minimum order amount.
Occasionally we may run out of a particular item that makes up part of an order, in these cases we will not back order the item(s) and will email out an adjusted invoice reflecting the fact that these items were not shipped nor were they charged for.
Spend $300.00 or more on food items or those in our Japanese Cookware section excluding NHS knives and receive a shipping allowance of 10% of your order. For
example if you spend $300.00, you would be given a shipping allowance on your
order of $30.00. For the majority of our customers, the shipping credit of 10%
of their order is enough to give them free shipping for their entire order. But
if a customer places an order with a good amount of heavy items like grains,
beans, and seeds, there is chance that the 10% shipping credit would not be
enough to cover all their shipping costs. So let's say for example you are just
about to complete an order for $300.00 containing many heavy items, with
shipping costs shown at $60.00. This means that you would get a $30.00 shipping
credit but would still have to pay $30.00 yourself in shipping costs.
Exceptions To Free
Please note that free shipping after spending
$300.00 only applies to food products and the cookware within the Japanese Cookware Section, except Japanese Tea Pots, composters and
does not apply to any other products like books, pressure cookers, grain
mills, blenders, soy milk makers, or any other kitchenware item not found in the Japanese cookware section. Please note that for the majority of our cookware items, we offer free shipping on them, but this only applies to the lower 48 states.
Shipping To Alaska and Hawaii
While we very much do appreciate the business of those of our customers residing outside of the lower 48 states, there are special circumstances that come into play which often make our shipping to these two states problematic. First off, due to the special variables that come into play, any shipping estimate returned by the shopping cart at checkout is to be considered not to be accurate. Many of the items we sell, mostly cookware can not be shipped to these areas at all. Taking this into consideration, it is best to check with us overall before placing any order for these two states as to its viability.
How we Ship
All orders are shipped via UPS or
Fedex Ground. Please note that UPS can not ship to PO Boxes. At this time we
currently do not ship outside the US.
UPS Address Corrections
that we ship from multiple warehouses, so your order may arrive in two or more
charges by UPS due to insufficient or incorrect delivery information will be
charged to your credit card upon receipt. (i.e.. no suite number, wrong zip
code, recipient has moved to a new address). Please check your printed invoice
and email or call us with any changes. Once we ship (Usually by the next
business day) we can not make changes. The UPS address correction charge for
ground service is $5.00. The correction charge for next day, 2nd day or 3 day
select is $10.00.
report to us immediately any problems concerning your order so that we can file
a damage claim with UPS.
Please make requests for returns of merchandise
for any reason other than a damage claim within 14 days of receiving your purchases. Returns on
food items are subject to a 10% restocking fee and must be unopened. Makeup, Herbs, Body Care Products and
Books are non refundable, while we will accept returns on unused cookware and other health related appliances within 14 days after receiving them, subject to a 20% restocking fee. Please
call or email for an RMA # and instructions for returns, any return with out
this information will be refused, likewise any return on a cookware item that has been used in
any manner will be returned also, as we have a policy of only selling brand new,
factory fresh items.
If you originally received free shipping on the item you are returning, this amount will also have to be refunded to us.
All warranties are between the manufacturer and you the customer.
